请问 A SERIES OF FINANCIAL REPORTS 跟复数还是单数？

注意：a series of
　　这是一个短语，表示“一系列”，后面跟复数名词。但其动词谓语用单数还是用复数，取决于本短语表示的是一系列“同一种类”的事物还是“不同种类”的事物。前者用单数谓语；后者用复数谓语。
　　例：A series of wet days spoils our holiday.（阴雨连绵破坏了我们的假期。）
　　There are a series of strange objects in his suitcase.（他的提箱里有一些奇怪的东西。）

其实我觉得GMAT的考点不会搞的那么深， 它好象更以覆盖面的广度见长， 毕竟大家不是去学语言学的， 了解基本的语法规则和修辞方法足以了。

我在看jj的时候也注意到这个问题了, 特意搜索了大全. SC, CR里都没有, RC有一些.

GRE阅读：

A series of observations is presented and explained in terms of the dominant theory.

A series of examples is presented, and a conclusion is drawn.

LSAT阅读：

A series of events that range from the real to the depicted conveys the contrast between real events and cinematic depiction.

A series of hypotheses is reviewed and one is advocated.

上述的例句大多出现在选项中, 也就是说这些句子应该都是出题机构写的, 应该能够反映出题机构的语言习惯. 单数4次, 复数1次, 单数胜!!

我觉得finance reports后面用复数。每个report都不一样的，相互独立，没有相关性，从不同角度表现公司的财务状况，所以我觉得是复数。
