OG解释里说C选项that has expanded是修饰instant的，Manhattan不是说名词性修饰必须紧跟名词吗，那么中间插了一个副词“instant ten to twenty billion years ago ”可以吗。
另外OG说D选项that is expanding是修饰the beginning，那又和C不同在哪里呢。

ten to twenty billion years ago 应该算作不临近修饰的第三种情况吧，OG中很多这个情况吧，如26题

第二个问题：the beginning was an  instant that has expanded ，that当然修饰临近的instant，SVO+THAT(that修饰宾语)
the beginning to have been an  instant that ，that跳过to be an instant这个修饰语，修饰词组核心，即beginning。
两者是不同的，你好好体会一下，有个链接，说的还蛮详细的，但是和我想的有一些出入。
