ED's letters to SHD were written over a period ( ), outnumbering her letter to anyone else.

ED's letters to SHD (, which ____,) outnumbered her letter to anyone else.

OG12-26
Emily Dickinson’s letters to Susan Huntington Dickinson were written over a period beginning a few years before Susan’s marriage to Emily’s brother and ending shortly before Emily’s death in 1886, outnumbering her letters to anyone else.
我知道做伴随肯定说不通,毕竟不是同时发生的;

The long, wordy opening clause givestoo much emphasis to the period when Dickinson's letters were written

OG 26:
26.Emily Dickinson's letters to Susan Huntington Dickinson were written over a period beginning a few years before Susan's marriage to Emily's brother and ending shortly before Emily's death in 1886, outnumbering her letters to anyone else.

(A)Dickinson were written over a period beginning a few years before Susan's marriage to Emily's brother and ending shortly before Emily's death in 1886, outnumbering

(B)Dickinson were written over a period that begins a few years before Susan's marriage to Emily's brother and ended shortly before Emily's death in 1886, outnumber

(C)Dickinson, written over a period beginning a few years before Susan's marriage to Emily's brother and that ends shortly before Emily's death in 1886 and outnumbering

(D)Dickinson, which were written over a period beginning a few years before Susan's marriage to Emily's brother, ending shortly before Emily's death in 1886, and outnumbering

(E)Dickinson, which were written over a period beginning a few years before Susan's marriage to Emily's brother and ending shortly before Emily's death in 1886, outnumber

47.Five fledgling sea eagles left their nests in western Scotland this summer, bringing to 34 the number of wild birds successfully raised since transplants from Norway began in 1975.

(A)bringing

(B)and brings

(C)and it brings

(D)and it brought

(E)and brought

47.Five fledgling sea eagles left their nests in western Scotland this summer, bringing to 34 the number of wild birds successfully raised since transplants from Norway began in 1975.

个人意见,虽然A选项没有语法错误,但是A选项的主语到底是“Emily Dickson‘s letters" 还是 ”Emily Dickson‘s letters to Susan Huntington Disckson"。后者表达了句子的原意;如果是前者呢?(当然Emily Dickson‘s letters 必然大于 "her letters to anyone else") 比如说 Emily Dickson‘s letters were written to Susan Huntington Dickson,
E选项,”which were“的使用,免除了这种歧义的可能,which不能指代人,以及复数were,都说明了which指代letters。 Emily Dickson‘s letters to Susan Huntington Disckson, which were... ,  outnumber...
