The luxuries and conveniences of contemporary life prevent people from developing into truly strong and independent individuals .

As the contemporary life has been improved at a meteoric speed , some people believe that the luxuries and conveniences of contemporary life may prevent prople from developing into truly strong and independent . As far as I’m concerned , I concede that our ability of independent thinking may sometimes give way to the luxuries and conveniences of contemporary life , however , it does not simply mean that our abilities of being strong and independent will surly deteriorate .
Admittedly , the technological advancement do bring about many benefits . To begin with , such advancement is created to make people work more efficiently , so that it can save much precious time . People will get to their workplace by car with a combustion engine instead of walking or by bike , all most everyone possess mobile phone in order to keep in touch with others but not writing letters , chances are high to see that the staff will solve out the problem using an advanced computer , all of which are inconceivable long ago and can create much leisure time .
While on the other hand , the luxuries and conveniences generated by the technological advancement does bring about some side effect as well . It is human nature that people is lazy and selfish so that they are more willing to give way to the luxuries and conveniences created by the technological advancement . Thus , the abilities of being strong and independent will surly be obstructed . For example , people will no longer work out the math problem physically since they have got calculators , which may lead to the backward of the ability of calculating .
However , although more and more people rely on such luxuries and conveniences , we cannot conclude that our abilities of being strong and independent will deteriorate . Given the fact that our modern technology is advancing at an amazing speed , we have to admit that we need to get accustomed to them in order not to be lagged behind . As a result , it is incumbent upon us to study such novel technology so that our abilities of being strong and independent will enhance but not deteriorate . What’s more , as people will not satisfied with the currency so that they would seek for the new technology so that the abilities will enhance a lot .
Actually , it is the internal factors that largely manipulate one’s mind , rather than the external forces such as luxuries and conveniences of modern life . It is because these people’s lack of resistance of luxuries that prevent their development . Take the example of Bill Gates , the ever wealthiest person in the world , founded his company of Microsoft on his own . But just a handful of people would get to know that Bill Gates was born in a noble family .
Overall, it is meaningless to determine whether the abilities of being strong and independent will deteriorate due to the modern life . What deserves the attention is that we treat such technological advancement in a wholesome way , otherwise the development of the society will come to the stagnancy .
