看到大家的帖子，现在才开始心动申请Michigen,但不知道还来不来得及，有问题想请热心的校友们回答一下：

1。我想申请1月份的那一轮（第二还是第三轮？），被入取难度会增大吗？我现在人在美国工作。

2。已经有一个20来名的75%奖学金，希望Michigen也能多少给点scholarship, 不知道这一轮拿到奖学金的希望大吗，跟前两轮比较的话？

补充一个问题，BW上报到有68 full scholarship，中国学生中能有几个每年？大概有多少比例的中国学生能拿到奖学金？谢谢！

As far as I know, no Chinese students got full scholarship. The disclosed number is 5 out of 20(sorry for my bad memory, i always can't remember the exact numbers of Chinese students) got some scholarships.

I don't have a good memory either.

For class of 2006, I heard a student from Taiwan got full scholarship. For those who are from Mainland China (including those who has been in US for some time), there are 3 three guys rewarded half scholarship, and severel others also got some money (but not too much).

For class of 2007, I expect there will be more scholarship as the school just received $100m donations. Althougt most will be used to improve facilities, some will be given to students as scholarships, I guess.

1. 2nd round. You can check this online. No many differences b/n 1st round and 2nd round

2. The chance of getting a scholarship doesn't depend on 1st round or 2nd round.

I think he is probably too busy and put your recommendation on a lower priority. Give him a gentle reminder email and follow up with a call. This usually works for me.

我昨天去Dearborn参加了UM的application workshop, 比较系统的了解了一下申请过程。Michele Thompson主讲，她讲到在某些情况下重考一次GMAT，会增加录取的概率。我的GMAT 710，AWA 5.5, 当时数学做的太快了，只有49。前面baobaobear的一个帖子也提到UM prefer 720 or above. 最近两年UM录取的中国学生GMAT middle 80%， 有没有个大概的数据？如果有必要的话，准备在R2 deadline附近再考一次，向adcom汇报一下。当然，essay还是要重点照顾的。

She was right that a higher GMAT will increase your chance of admisstion, PROVIDED that all others are equal.

I think 710 should be OK. Mine was also 710 and ATA was 4.0.

I would recommend you to put more time on essays. If you think you can take a higher GMAT and improve your essay simultanieously, you can do that, definitely.
