RA opening in U-Iowa, ME, Computational solid mechanics

At the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering at the University
of Iowa, we have an immediate Research Assistantship (RA) opening for a
project on wind turbine manufacturing, machining and surface treatment.

We are looking for highly motivated students with background in one or more
of the following areas:
1. Computational solid mechanics and computer modeling(FEM, dislocation
dynamics, MD, or phase field simulation)
2. Materials & mechanical behaviors,
3. Materials processing (e.g., machining and forming).

The student will be fully supported for up to 5 years.  The RA is about $26,
000 per year.
