对的，但是我不是很理解，为什么B选项不是平行对称呢？我对平行对称这个概念好像还不是很理解

照我的理解，如果是B   去掉expect to be,那就是automakers set dividens more conservatively than they have been setting才比较部分对称完整.

我是觉得，b选项省略了setting，但是划线开头是set，这不是同一个词，所以setting不能省。如果b选项补全，就成了have been setting了，这就不对了。

B里面不是to be和have been不平行，而是前面是动作，是do，后面是系表结构，这样的不平行，跟A的错误一样(但是A的时态还是有问题的)。more的修饰对象是conservatively，是一个副词，该句中是对动作的修饰，than后面是不可能用be动词的
可以改成to set dividends more conservatively than they have done
楼主看C正确选项就可以分析出来，than前后都是系表结构，跟setting没有关系，后面只是一个状语，表明在哪个方面
