没啥。就是在西海岸高科技公司混了些日子。见过50+ MBA毕业生，就是没见过Kellogg的MBA而已。Anderson排名是不如Kellogg，但是你也不能说上了上海交大就有前途，上了中山大学就没前途吧。呵呵。特别是在广州就业。

Some logic in this thread doesn't make sense to me. I believe in and have a special bond with my alma mater but it doesn't mean I won't allow anyone else to compare my alma mater with other universities or to criticize her. I believe broad-mindedness wins more respect.

I agree with 51xt and wbomb. I'd say that it all depends on what functions and what companies LZ targets at. If LZ wants to work with movie studios or high-tech firms, especially those in West Coast, UCLA is definitely a better choice. If LZ plans to go to other industries, Kellogg offers a better platform. Chicago is rooted in manufacturing and has been very successful in converting its traditional economy into a much more diversified one. With regard to LZ's personal life, it is personal. She may discuss with her hubby, family, and friends...those familiar with her own situation. But don't make her the only one to compromise. Girls shall go to wherever they like with no regrets.

To LZ: Congrats! And someone on GmatClub is in the same boat: http://gmatclub.com/forum/ucla-v-kellogg-130602.html. Many terrific insights and hope they help.

PS: I have no relations to either of the two schools and I agree both of them have great programs.

斗胆引用一下51xt说ROMMEY的一句话：”关键的一点：你需要证明一下UCLA在本地找最top或者hot的工作，与Kellogg相比没有劣势甚至有优势，就和对方针锋相对了。“  我也希望51xt和您可以在讨论中声明KELLOGG比UCLA对职业生涯更好的时候，也能够证明一下KELLOGG在all other industries的时候，都能找最top或者hot的工作，与UCLA相比都有优势，而不是总是不断的做复读机重复KELLOGG更好呢？谢

You're right; some people here did overreact when others said Kellogg is better.

Regarding what 51xt said, I think you quoted out of context. I listed the most obvious advantaged industries that UCLA has. People can argue Kellogg is better in these industries, too. I'm glad no Kellogg related jumping in and yelling" We are better!" ...so far

You were trying to argue why UCLA is better than or as good as Kellogg although UCLA is ranked lower; however, you cited ranking again (although you didn't specify what ranking they are) when you refuted my point about Kellogg's better platform. I'm not trying to argue "UCLA is better than or as good as Kellogg although UCLA is ranked lower" but just want to learn a little bit more about the "truth" that Kellogg has better platforms in all other industries, especially in west coast because personally I meet much more Anderson graduates working in high tech. firms and VCs in CA than Kellogg graduates. However, Kellogg fans  yelling Kellogg in this thread is far better while the only evidence they could provide is the ranking. That's pathetic.


BTW, I don't really think someone started its statement with "Some logic in this thread doesn't make sense to me" had no intention to kick off an argument.
