The Esther Yewpick Lee Millennium Scholarships ONLY offer to students (undergraduate or postgraduate) who will be graduated from CUHK in June 2006 or graduates who have already obtained a degree awarded by CUHK. The Scholarships will enable the scholars to read for a Postgraduate Degree or a second Bachelor Degree at the University of Oxford, U.K. commencing from October 2006.
The Esther Yewpick Lee Millennium Scholarships 2006

If you hold a degree awarded by CUHK, you are eligible to apply for the Esther Yewpick Lee Millennium Scholarships 2006.
The scholarship
A scholarship for two or three years will be awarded to graduates or final-year students of CUHK each year.
Amount of the scholarships
An award of approx. HK$315,000.00 was offered to the scholar in the academic year 2004/2005. The scholarship covers:-
all amounts due in respect of University and College fees at Oxford
a return economy class airfare between Hong Kong and London, and charges for land transportation between London and Oxford
an annual personal allowance, which is expected to take care of board and lodging and other maintenance costs
Courses at Oxford
Scholars may read for the Oxford BA in any of the final honour schools, or, if qualified by previous training, may be admitted to read for the advanced degrees of BCL, MLitt, BPhil, MSc or DPhil.
Eligibility
An applicant must:
either have already obtained a degree awarded by CUHK, or be proceeding towards such a degree which will be completed before studies begin at Oxford, i.e. October 1, 2006
have outstanding academic records
have a respect for humanity, a curious mind, moral integrity and a spirit of adventure and reveal the potential to make a contribution to the well-being of the community
Preference will be given to candidates who will be under 25 years old on October 1, 2006.

Completed application forms together with supporting documents must be returned in person during office hours (Monday ~ Friday 9:00 a.m. ~ 4:30 p.m. and Saturday 9:00 a.m. ~ 12:00 noon) except Sundays and Public Holidays to the same office on or before September 17, 2005 (by 12:00 noon).
