"一直不懂为什么OG说 so x as to y is not a correct idiom." Ron说了,OG瞎扯,forget about it. 知道"so ... as to"什么时候用就行。
我认为become是action verb,我不太懂linking verb的语法术语,但我觉得就是从意思上去理解,become强调的是从不是到是的一个变化过程,所以体现了action. 你举的例子里, constitute没有体现一个动作,仅仅是体现了一个状态(as a part of a whole). 在我的理解里,appear/consist这些应该不算action verb,就是因为没有体现action.
恩 因为C it是代词,所以部分倒装。 一直不懂为什么OG说 so x as to y is not a correct idiom. 另外become不是action verb(不知道是不是我们常说的及物,不及物动词)吧,also describes a state/condition,属于linking verb(连系动词) RON的说法挺认可的: The Emperor Augustus, it appears, commissioned an idealized sculptured portrait, the features of which are so unrealistic as to constitute what one scholar calls an “artificial face.” so unrealistic as to constitute[相当于be ] so unrealistic they constituted so unrealistic that they have constituted unrealistic enough so that they constitute(A) unrealistic enough so as to constitute constitute可以做linking verb,也可以做transitive verb,在本题是linking verb. [linking verb, not in progressive] to be considered to be something Failing to complete the work constitutes a breach of the employment contract. The rise in crime constitutes a threat to society. -- by 会员 yiayia (2012/3/17 11:01:14)
