Regarding the age, I am over 30 now. I did not have any chance to study for a degree in the UK due to financial reasons. However, I have spent few years to earn tuition fees through running my business in London. I was mad for gaining a degree. Finally, I graduated with a honours degree in London when I was 28.
After undergraduate degree course, I also told myself that I won't waste any good opportunities for my future. I was keen to get into IB, and I joined UCL in London for a MSc course, But I had to quit due to lack of tuition and living fees again, more importantly I had my daughter, I need to think about my family. It was an huge opportunity cost.
Then I started to work as a graduate trainee at one of Big 4 firms in London. I lost my job during financial crisis, and I had a chance to do a MSc degree with my wife's support. I was close to the job in the City of London, but I didn't make it due to work permit reasons.
Nowadays, I am stilling working for one of the big accountancy firms in Tax area. I am also keen on studying for a top US MBA. I am happy to meet anyone who has a dream and work hard to it.
