I hope this email finds you well. The School of Continuing and Professional Studies is a division of NYU just as the College of Arts and Science or the Stern School of Business. The reason we are known as a continuing education school is because we cater to students who are looking to further their careers with additional graduate level coursework. Additionally, the SCPS division is a bit more distinguished as we offered very industry-specific programs such as MS degrees for Human Resources, Real Estate, and of course, Sports Business that are not offered anywhere else at NYU. Because we cater to students who are working, we allow our students to take classes on a full-time or a part-time basis.
