“In Japan elderly people are treated with far greater respect than they are in most Western countries 这里的they指的是老年人,而非Japan的老年人”我想问一下,they不是完全指代的么?如果这里的In Japan 是修饰elderly people,这个they不就是指日本的老年人么?而In Japan紧靠elderly people,不就很ambiguous么?如果是“日本的老年人”,应该是"elderly people in Japan" 这是英文,不是中文,不要想着“日本的老年人”,你直译就是"in Japan elderly people"? 因为你单说"in Japan elderly people"完全是non-sense,所以,这个in Japan放到前面不可能修饰elderly people 那么,这句话,"in Japan"必然是状语,修饰整句话。 I am Now a student. Now I am a student. 这不是大家都说顺口的么?两个句子Now都没差别,都是状语。
这是prep2008语法笔记的Q240下面的一句话: “In Japan elderly people are treated with far greater respect than theyare in most Western countries 这里的they指的是老年人,而非Japan的老年人” 我想问一下,they不是完全指代的么?如果这里的In Japan 是修饰elderly people,这个they不就是指日本的老年人么?而In Japan紧靠elderly people,不就很ambiguous么? 再看这个(GWD17 Q20): In 1981 children in the United States spent an average of slightly less than two and a half hours a week doinghousehold chores; by 1997theyhad spent nearly six hours a week. 这句话是错的,因为they是完全指代,指的是 1981年的children,这里逻辑意思不通
NN们帮我看看这两处,明明都是they完全指代,怎么不一样啊~~我看得好抓狂啊~~
