怎么理解此处省略have been ，直接用falling ,有什么依据吗？

其实这题通过时态，必须用现在完成时，就锁定C（排除D/E两项with结构，因为ambiguity），lz问得很好！我个人理解，此处falling作为名词(action noun)理解，就避开了棘手的时态问题。
而且就算用动词fall的某种时态形式，也是
....in its profits, which have increased ... during ... after they ....
这里which从句，which指代profits，然后后面又出来they指代profits，很awkward.
所以就干脆用after falling...falling作为名词，来回避after+从句里面从句的问题，而且这表达很准确很简洁。

不知道这样理解对么，请NN指点

falling的前面到底省略了什么呢？有说省略了have been的，我觉得不对，前面是现在完成时后面还是现在完成时，那岂不是犯了跟A一样的错误？

啊...回头看当初的发言，现在我明白了，这里falling根本不存在什么省略，也不存在时态问题。

I will go to sleep after completing my homework.
I go to sleep after completing my homework.
I went to sleep after completing my homework.

跟这题完全一样的道理。
