关于倒装，我查过了，only应该只能是部分倒装（即主语和情态动词/助动词得倒装），比如这里的was和主语倒装，而不是真正的动词recognize;

此外，全倒装一般出现在系表结构倒装，或介词短语倒装，这时才是谓语和主语的倒装。。。。。

所以确定要么这道题错了，要么就是另有考点？

A "when", C "then", D "as" are all pretty bad.  That leave us with B.

B is also not perfect.  I agree with bryony etc. that the correct reversal form should be "was recognized geochemistry".  The "as" in B is not necessary -- may it be just a typo?
