1. being在一般情况下强调事物正在进行或正在保持一种状态，其强调的是动作的连续，而且其相当于一个动词，所以可以用于现分结构中。

这里应该是要表达的是正在保持一种状态。这里being 用的非常好，句子所要表达的意思正是还在除草剂一直生产的过程中，引发了流产和疾病。如果去掉being, 则 The herbicide Oryzalin was still produced in 1979 只是表达了除草剂在1979年还在生产，有可能是产产停停。如果停产阶段引发了流产，就不能完全归结为生产除草剂的原因，逻辑不严密，也表达不出强调的意味。

在rt316总结的基础上，偶再进一步总结：

在GMAT考试中，being的使用只有在两种情况下是正确的

1）放在介词后面表示被动，但不含有进行的意思（这条规律适用于一切划线部分）

2）放在系动词后面表达进行的状态和同时性

而Being单独放在过去分词前，用来修饰名词，必被认为多余或导致逻辑意思错误

一搬being作为选项对的很少，being+adj，being+n是肯定错的。being+done在表被动的进行时态是可以的，但以前出题者很少出这种正确选项，我在大全中搜了一下，没有发现正确选项中出现being+done的，但在题干中出现几次，我后面附了一题大全397即是。

回过头来说这道题，还是觉得用进行时态的被动挺别扭的，不过there being肯定是错的，只能are being done 了

不过C和D的结构我理不顺，谁给分析一下？
