本人选择E，答案给的是B。看不出来E哪错了，觉得B的过去完成时没道理啊。

我是这么考虑的：要是我，首先就会从AB中选，CDE in 1997 直接排除

我觉得 in 1997和 by 1997表达的就不是一个意思~~ 而语法最重要的是不能随便改变原句意思...

而A显然不靠谱儿了，选B，that figure 指代明确。还记得那个truck 的题吗？

选的就是 B.  that number  of trucks alone ~~  我看G就是有固定偏好！
