因为偷懒， 只写了中间部分。 将就看看。 观点： Human actions bring both improvements and damages to the Earth. 正文： On the one hand, human beings, through its constant efforts to push science and technology forward, have made the Earth a better place to live in. Let us take progresses in medication as an example. In the tropical areas, there are many deadly diseases, such as dengue fever and malaria, rampant. In the past, people were rather vulnerable to various diseases. Nowadays, many of them that used to be lethal to human beings can be cured easily. The vaccine of the smallpox serves another striking example. Since the smallpox is infectious, people in the whole village can be infected. In the past, people had to dessert the whole village to ward off the disease. Today, many countries have virtually eliminated it. In the sense, medical technology has remarkably improved our living environment by providing us more medicines to fight against many deadly diseases. On the other hand, human activities do give rise to serious problems, such as the deterioration of the natural environment, the shortage of the natural sources and water and air pollution. The use of the chemical and biological weapons as well as the nuclear weapons is further aggravating the problems. Besides, it is another alarming fact that the Earth is becoming increasingly warmer, a phenomenon, which will yield devastative effects. In my opinion, all those phenomena can be partially attributed to human’s ignorance and the abuse of technology. Last, it should be notice that many countries have realized that if they do not put an end to all those destructive actions, the Earth, our only home, can be totally destroyed and they are making efforts to rectify all the blunders they have made. For example, many governments have prohibited the use of CFCs in air conditioning in order to protect the ozone layer. |
