『求助』推荐信网推的时候没有waive rights到底有多严重？？！！

各位CDer，拍死我吧！
在网推的时候我选了NOT waive my right to access this reference or recommendation，这样对推荐信的效用会不会有很大负面影响啊？！
当时无知啊就没waive，现在看大家都说如果不waive这个权利的话，推荐信就等于作废了，悔死了～～

我觉得不会啊，既然给你选择那就是你自己做决定了。  只不过waive显得你比较有信心而已，作废倒不至于/

人家给这个选项是因为法案规定吧，但是学校好像都要你waive的吧···

就是说根据1974年法案，学生有权利看自己的推荐信。但是你也可以选择免除权利，既然法律上都允许，那么就没有什么问题，毕竟美国是个法制的国家。
