FionaMM的问题提得很好啊, 不过我想说的是, 这里既然我们都知道they指代的是women scientists, 那么我们把它代入红色部分不就成了:but unlike men of science, women scientists... 不就不符合平行规则了吗?
新东方语法教材里就说明了的，在同一句话中，their只能指代同一个名词，没划线部分正确，那么their应该是指代women scients',那么在后面their 或者they就不能指代men of science，所以答案只有Ｅ
不同意这种说法，我觉得这里their的指代应该是清晰的（而且OG完全没提代词指代有问题），按照逻辑最大的原则，这里很明显their应该指men或men of science，如果指代women那counterparts就是men，然后men和men比？不可能，所以指代是没歧义的。而且前面有题说明一句话中，they和their指代不一致（忘了那题了，当时我就很困惑）
