即理解成scholars basing on various ancient writer's accounts,才有后面scholars have painted a sketchy picture －－

所以it我反而觉得是不是多了才错的，但OG却认为B选项是因为it没有清晰指代对象才错的！

OG对C选项的解释很模糊，就一句C and D are also wordy and awkward，我认为With accounts of various ancient writers used for a basis是修饰主语scholars的伴随状语，错在used for a basis，可能修饰writers了，有点混淆了，正确的用法应该是Using accounts of various ancient writers for a basis,这将会比E更好！不知大家同意否

base A on B，我查了一下词典的讲解：

if u base one thing on another thing,the first thing develops the second thing.

但是我所看到的大部分都是用的based，for example：

He based his conclusions on the evidence given by the captured prisoners.

什么情况下用basing on?

能不能提供一些例句。我翻遍了大全和词典也没有找到basing用对的例子，印象中曾做过一题，可惜找不到。
