我认为如果没有逗号的话，可能nor的这种用法本身就不合理，而且如你所言，从意思上可能造成双重否定；nor作为一个连词连接两个不同的含义句子表达各自的否定才是比较合理的表达。

1. 逗号不是表示or. 这里much less remember只是个插入语。这种用法还是蛮多的，下面是个例句:

For more than 50 years, the World Bank, donor nations, various aid agencies, national governments, and, lately, civil society organizations have all tried, but failed, to eradicate poverty.

2. 首先根据上面的插入语用法，应该是remember, 而不是to remember。其次，much less应该是个固定用法把。见longman的解释:

much less
used to say that a greater thing is even less true, likely, or possible than the thing you have just mentioned

而even的词条里面没有even less的说法。

3. 同意paopao的说法。

4. 关于nor, 我看了一下longman里的用法。

formal used after a negative statement in order to introduce another negative statement containing a similar kind of information

根据这个意思，我觉得stoneren gg说的有道理，nor是连词，应该有逗号，而且longman的例句里也是有逗号的。并且，根据这个解释，nor应该连接的是句子，而不是连接谓语部分。在大全里，单独使用nor并且是正确答案只有902，连接的是句子。其他都是neither ... nor ... 的结构。
