sorry i cannot type chinese here on campus. The following is what I think about the financial job market.
The truth is the financial industry is gonna shrink a lot in the next few years, and it has nothing to do with the economy (however apparently this year the economy is bad, if not worse than 2008), or who is gonna be the next president. The volcker rule requires banks to quit some part of the business (no prop trading after june 2012). The size of the banks will get smaller for smaller business, and a lot of current employers will get laid off. Some positions will disappear.
For those who are looking for financial jobs in US after graduation, they have to open up their mind and accept the fact that it is harder to find a sponsored job in 2012. Many of them (at least 70%-80%) will have to go back to China eventually.
