看了所有关于OG12-50的帖子，发现还是没有解决我的问题，求助~

此题我开始排除了A，因为had feared时态没理解，后来看了大家的讨论明白了，这个时态是没有问题的。
我现在知道A是最佳答案，但是尚不明白的是CD的结构问题，看大家讨论都说CD结构不完整，OG上也说rather to come和instead to come does not complete the second part of the sentence idiomatically.
可是能不能理解成sth. ... to avoid ... , and to come...结构呢？这样貌似结构没有问题啊。
我看国外网站上讨论的是说When OG says that ‘to come’ is not idiomatic, it may be meaning that ‘to come’, though grammatically parallel ‘to avoid’, is not the normal usage. Common usage is to describe it as ‘to avoid’ ‘but / instead come’, dropping the infinitive marker ‘to” in the second part.
求教，是就仅仅是to come 不符合习惯用法么？还是有什么别的理解。
还有B选项，除了what和to do用法错误外，结构上是不是rather前还应该加上and呢？

1. COME IN FOR STH:  to receive sth, especially sth unpleasant.
2. As "instead" is an adverb, we just ignore it. The structure becomes "with it coming". Obviously, it is not an absolute construction and is grammatically incorrect.

可以解释一下为什么rather to come和instead to come使后半句话idiomatically不对呢？而答案A是instead come
还有，with it coming虽然读起来怪怪的，但是可以从语法角度分析一下为什么不对么？
