想請教2002年5月的聽力~~看了還是不了解

答案:C~~~why.....她的意思不是要再去看一次醫生嗎?????....out of condition是什麼意思．．

24.I don't know of anyone off hand. ...off hand是什麼意思..是立刻的意思是嗎?????

30.W:Your company isn't moving to the west coast after all.

    M:Well,not for the time being.But I've been looking into other employment opportunities here anyway.Just in case.

(B)He's looking forward to working on the West Coast

(C)He hopes to keep working where he now lives.

答案:C~~Why....~這題的意思,男生說:你的公司沒有搬到西岸,女生說:只是暫時的,但是我正在找其他的工作機會,以防萬一,,,,不就代表她希望去西岸工作嗎,,,,,,,,,,,,???

很明显的转折，最终又...样了，对应答案better now。考点：转折+语气

(C)He hopes to keep working where he now lives.

W:你的公司最终（after all）还是没有移到西海岸。

M：对，只是时间的问题。但不管怎样我仍在这里（不是west coast,是她现在工作的地方)寻找别的工作机会，以防万一。

考点：语气，but在这里不表示转折，是语气的加强。

2道题都是语气题的错误哦！还是要多体会一下，TOEFL听力的语气题一般都比较夸张，然后放一些短语迷惑你的耳朵，但重点是语气，不要陷于短语。

off hand 表示马上, 目前的意思.

其实两位楼上说得很清楚了.

所以从上下文来看, be back on one's feet , = recover
