我一看到带with的题目就发晕，这题为什么选D不对？

with介词短语可以作状语，也可以作定语；本句中除E以外所有选项without的结构都有做状语修饰lions playing的可能，虽然这从逻辑上说不通，但是在语法上是可行的，所以除E以外全错；当然，我也不认为E的语气最好，但是，E最明确。

with的用法可以参考：OG50/56/113/146/212/补充40E / 85/141/152/192/200/205 / 104/224

谢谢你的解答，更感谢你给出的相关参考题目。

不过，有一点我不是很明白，你说“with介词短语可以引导状从，也可以引导定从”，可是我做题时没发现with后面跟一个从句的情况，基本上都是with+n.，当然也有with+n.+分词短语/介词短语/形容词短语/不定式，但后者是with的独立主格结构。能不能请你给出一个with后面跟一个从句的例子？还有，with独立主格和with+n.的作用是不是没什么差别？

另外一个我比较模糊但是又觉得很关键的问题：在做题时是考虑逻辑优先还是语法优先？比如我上面问的那道题，说实话，从读题目开始我就压根没想到without the aid of telephoto lens会修饰the lions，因为逻辑上完全不通，所以我就没考虑语法上的修饰歧义问题。可是有时候我又发现某些题目有语法上的歧义，但og好像并不理睬，可能有歧义的部分在5个选项里完全一样，这说明og并不觉得那些语法歧义会引起逻辑混乱，所以我觉得og是看中逻辑的，以逻辑关系合理为最优。可是这题又推翻了我这个想法，我已经彻底晕了。

希望和斑竹及各路NN们继续探讨。

抱歉，with介词短语不是‘引导’而是可以‘作为’定语或状语，我2楼的帖子写错了，已经改了，对不起。

做题时逻辑和语法同步，语法没问题时，逻辑性决定句子；但是此句的问题在于，语法已经决定了其修饰的对象。我提供的参考题前6题好像都是作状语的，你仔细看一遍就知道作状语的with短语到底应该修饰谁。

不好意思，我在刨根问底一下。

og 56题跟我上面问的那题结构几乎一样，都是主语+谓语+宾语+without结构，但是这题为什么就没有语法上的修饰歧义呢？

56）Architects and stonemasons, huge palace and temple clusters were built by the Maya without benefit of the wheel or animal transport.

(A) huge palace and temple clusters were built by the Maya without benefit of the wheel or animal transport

(B) without the benefits of animal transport or the wheel, huge palace and temple clusters were built by the Maya

(C) the Maya built huge palace and temple clusters without the benefit of animal transport or the wheel

(D) there were built, without the benefit of the wheel or animal transport, huge palace and temple clusters by the Maya（C）

(E) were the Maya who, without the benefit of the wheel or animal transport, built huge palace and temple clusters

还有og113题里，“ ，with arms and legs hanging” 有没有可能造成是修饰主句“Vistors……have often looked up……and seen ……” 的歧义？

113）Visitors to the park have often looked up into the leafy canopy and saw monkeys sleeping on the branches, whose arms and legs hang like socks on a clothesline.

(A) saw monkeys sleeping on the branches, whose arms and legs hang

我当时选113题是用的排除法，因为whose从句的歧义太明显了，所以只好在with结构里面选。但是，我记得前人说过with独立主格可以表示原因、伴随、结果，是用来补充说明主句的。但在这题里，好像不是。这个with独立主格，到底可以修饰多少句子成分？

This is a misplaced modifier type of quesiton.        Immediately following “architects and stonemasons”, the sentence needs to say someone who “architects and stonemasons” are describing.        Clearly C is the only right choice.        Besides, other than "buliding huge palace and temple clusters", there's nothing else that the "benefit of the wheel or animal transport" can describe.        This question does not have the problem the first quesiton has.

如果题目都看了就会发现，56和113的最大区别在于56中只有一个动词结构(谓语)，而113中却有两个动词结构(谓语和现分)，再体会一下吧，顺便和一楼的帖子一起比较。
