我对于时态总是纸上谈兵，一遇到具体题目就晕了。这题就是：

Visitors to the park have often looked up into the leafy canopy and saw monkeys sleeping on the branches, whose arms and legs hang like socks on a clothesline.

(A) saw monkeys sleeping on the branches, whose arms and legs hang

(B) saw monkeys sleeping on the branches, whose arms and legs were hanging

(C) saw monkeys sleeping on the branches, with arms and legs hanging

(D) seen monkeys sleeping on the branches, with arms and legs hanging（D）

(E) seen monkeys sleeping on the branches, whose arms and legs have hung

很不理解为什么要用现在完成时？og解释说ABC都不对因为用了have saw而不是have seen，而我理解saw不是和looked up并列的，而是和have looked up并列，saw就是表示一般过去时。如果从平行角度说，是应该选完成时的，但是从句子意思上怎么也不明白。

这里无论如何用一般过去时都是不合适的，一般过去时表示动作仅仅发生在过去，而句中look up和see显然是两个连续的动作，因此，即便从逻辑上，两个的时态也应该保持一致，而且，在实战中，没有任何暗示的情况下平行结构保持时态一致(再次强调：没有逻辑或其他时间暗示的前提下，比如：He was borned in Shanghai and has lived in American since he was 5-year-old 这个句子中的两个时态是有逻辑和时间暗示的)；句子其实可以理解：游客向树丛中看(have looked up)，看到了(have seen)睡觉的猴子。
