选校，求建议~~

Sure. It would be a transforming experience, especially for an engr, but there is a huge price to pay: 2 years of your life and 100w RMB. 'Your pound of flesh', if you will ....

Can you afford that? Are you willing to pay it? Is it the best thing to do at this point of your life? Tough questions for ya ....

1. 从申请成功的角度考虑和从follow your heart的角度考虑可能不同。

2. 31本来不老，但是你入学的时候可能32了，毕业的时候可能34了，就算事事如你所愿转成功，从头做起毕竟不容易。

I understand your concerns, which have been hovering in my mind for a long time. On the other hand, however, doing something that has no future and that I am not very interested in really kills my passion and my life. I have to find a goal in order to continue my life.

Indeed tough questions... Actually I have many things planned out for myself at this stage of life, but things don't occur as I planned or anticipated. I couldn't sit here doing nothing; I want to find my goal, something that is worth a try. At this point, maybe MBA is good for me.

As for the cost-benefit analysis, I do agree 1 million CNY is a lot of investment. So HK B-schools are definitely in my list!

top20，mit梯次、haas梯次、cmu梯次，考虑scholarship。如果以后想在国内发展，鉴于楼主背景，HK是不错的选择，选喜欢的学校吧。转行的确不易，建议把career goal和以往工作经验联系起来，啥行业都能联系financial function。

如果lz对想做的金融行业状况、尤其是工作性质已经比较了解了的话，不是一山看另一山高的话，尽管放手做吧。见过30+ post-mba转consulting、ibd的，前提是愿意拼，有技巧，心态好。听过比较多的抱怨是：为毛我还要和小xx岁的小朋友抢？我同学都做到xxx了有xxx了……

1.31岁才明白自己不适合技术确实有些晚，不过我周围同学做技术的也懵懵懂懂中，可以理解
2.想要改变继续寻找追求方向的想法永远值得鼓励，看到一份wharton简历，一个技术背景的交大校友35岁读商学院转IB
3.好好规划，读mba的很多人并不知道自己未来会干吗，但他们就是想转变一下，多些经历和机会总是好的

其实没什么，我们也有MBA30多的来做IBD，年龄不是问题，而且应该申请还是比较容易的

你的资历回国作PE/VC还是希望很大的但是资产管理你就需要表现出其他特质买方跟你的性格，智力更相关一些
