答案是B。

我选的是D，当时觉得B里面的it指代不清，OG里说it明确指代code。为什么不能指代the basis呢？

还有OG说D选项错误的原因是this指代不清，为什么呢？我觉得this指代的是前面的一整句话。谁能告诉我哪里有问题呢？

this不可以指代用来指代一件事，或者整句话的。而且，this不可以裸奔指代，也就是说this后面一定要一个名词，共同构成一个完整的结构。

比如 Hunters have killed all the dears in this area, this would lead to great disaster.
这个句子中，this应该变成this phenomenon，也就是说this/that后面一定要跟一个名词来做指代。

第二个问题，关于你说B中it指代不清。是这样：主语位置的代词，有倾向先去指代另一个句子的主语位置的名词。（但是宾语位置的代词没有倾向说先去指代另一个句子的宾语或者主语，只有主语位置的代词才有对位指代的倾向。）

而从句和主句并不是并列的 ，所以不能对位指代，而是就近指代

你去看看manhattan的语法书，里面说了当B的情况，It在后面的句子里做主语的时候，可以指代前面一部分的主语，就是code，是没有指代歧义的

我现在明白了，关于A ，OG里的意思是说， provisions是处于  谓语性主格的位置【啥东西我也不明白】而不是 主语的位置。因为在从句做主语的代词，肯定是优先指代主句的主语的。所以OG里说 指代不明显
