我也在网上找到了类似的原文，是从一篇很正式的文章Distinguished African American中找到类似的句子：

Jean Toomer(1894-1967) "Cane", by Jean Toomer,published in 1923, has been called one of the three best novels ever written by

an African American. The others are: Richard Wright's "Native Son", and Ralph Ellison's "Invisible man".

这样看起来，这到题目的主要考点还是a black American.我原来也是选B，现在改成E了。

我觉得E中的being有问题,虽然'written by an Amercian' in E 比'written by Amercians'(表示一本书由多个作家写成)更合理
