one of the books/novels/...../ ever written by a/an XXXX 是标准用法，否则有歧义 - The Great Wall is one of the most admired wonders build by civilizations - 大家不会想把码长城的credit给其他文明吧？

可以google一下 "books ever written by a" 或者类似的短语。

考试遇到这种题就挂了，看了半天，还是支持E。

1.单复数不是考点。

2.including造成歧义。

3.主语是书，后面也要用书。

It cant be C or D because "the others" refers to books, not authors.
its not A or B because this novel was written by one person not "black americans"... it should be "a black american".

Why not black Americans? To me, it sounds like this group of people, Black Americans, get together and write novels. Whereas 'by a Black American" sounds more like individuals of Black American Heritage wrote the books.

so the answer is E
