Hi Kinny, thanks for your insights and it helps a lot.
I'm ready to accept the offer from this state-owned company. Although it's not one of the most famous state companies, I believe it has a great platform for me and as i'm in early career stage, it cost little for me to taste the life in a state-owned company. It would be much better than I tried the life in this kind of company and hated it post-mba. Besides, I also agree with you that experience with both F500 and state-owned company shall be good for future career development.
Thanks everyone's comment and wish all get the offer from their dream school.
Hi premierx, Although the reputation of your company certainly matters, I think the adcom is far more interested in how you fit in within the organization. Specifically, they want to see career progression in terms of leadership, salary, responsibilities, etc. Therefore, in making your decision, I suggest focusing on the difference in advancement opportunities and the connection to your post-MBA goals. I think that having experience with both Chinese and foreign companies can work in your favor in both b-school admissions and post-MBA recruiting. Kinny -- by 会员 M7Plus (2011/9/6 10:12:45)
