A is not parellel.... "whereas lines of competition blablablabla", should follow line of competition or something similar.

我觉得这题是A诶。
一方面是whereas应该是不强求形式上的完全对等（当然对等更好）的吧，prep语法笔记：whereas连接的平行比较只要求对比的核心逻辑上有对称关系，不要求对称位置必须是对称名词。
另一方面，看到有指出competing companies和companies that compete的争议。我觉得A更好，是因为这题要说的是：某天竞争的公司在另一天可能就合作了。如果用B里面的competing companies，感觉one day修饰的companies，表达的是“永远”的竞争公司（那又怎么会某天变成合作者了内...）；而A里面 companies that compete one day，这里的one day感觉修饰的是compete，然后that定语从句一起修饰companies，意思上更加符合
另外就是还看到有说more的修饰的问题，我也觉得A好，是因为觉得A中的more前有the，应该是more直接修饰established的，而没有more (established industries)的歧义了...

不知道这样解释通么...大家来讨论讨论吧，纠正我思路不对的地方...><
