同意楼上。楼主的优势是亚裔女、高G分和美国工作背景，但是大龄加无管理经验，很大程度上掩盖了楼主的优势。

Personal opinion: I don't think it's easy to have management experience with 5yr WE in US. MS+5yr=midlevel engineer. You don't expect such fast promotion in US. I think you should definitely try top schools.

Cannot agree more. Especially in big companies like F500, it takes about 3-5 years to see a promotion. So I'm similar to lz in a lot of ways, struggling here.

我觉得吧楼主不用太在意没有formal的leadership experience。一方面上面坛友也说了在北美女孩子工程师要正式的leadership不容易另一方面leadership并不一定体现在leader position上啊你的vision, influence, 对自己理想的perseverance 这些都是leadership的品质啊。

一个经典的段子是有人问牧师，我可以在祷告时吸烟么，结果被牧师痛扁一顿；另一个人问，我可以在吸烟时祷告么，牧师欣然应允。既然过去已经不能改变，楼主又有很强的passion for Sloan，那么就dig dig 再dig，换个角度，换种思维方式，把自己的劣势条件转换为selling point，展现给招生官你的passion和commitment，我想这样才能争取到最好的结果。是吧。
