我觉的be difficult in doing sth 表目前(重复动作).  it is difficult to do sth表目的(一次性), D表式做...困难, 感觉是选D,

谢谢。但是我始终记得（有可能记错，虽然可能性较小）以前上英语课时，又学到困难后面加（in）doing sth. 难道是difficulty in doing sth? 哎，我手头有一本很大的苇氏词典，可惜上面只有解释，没有这样的短语， 下载朗文，我暂时也还没搞定

我不确定是否有difficult in doing的结构，但我认为你从报上摘录的那个例子应该是错的，have作动词，至少应该是difficulty(名词)构成have difficulty in doing，这个结构是可行的；

本题之所以用has made it difficult to do关键在于it是一个逻辑主语，其指代对象一般要么是that从句，要么是不定式，所以此处不能用其他结构，此句可变化为：has made to do XX difficult；此外，be difficult to do也是一个十分常用的结构，比之difficulty in doing要简洁；

在这个句子中含有一个带有it作为形式宾语的复合结构，这就是make it difficult to get a clear picture，而真正的宾语则是动词不定式短语to get a clear picture .

英语中有些及物动词，其后要求跟复合宾语时，都可以跟一个带形式宾语it的复合结构；这些动词有find , suppose , think , make , consider等。而在这种复合结构中，往往有一个形容词或名词作宾语补足语。例如：

I. consider it great honour to have been invited to such an important meeting .

He found it rather difficult to work the problem out without any help .

我部分同意stoneren的观点, 实际上have difficulty in doing sth 是习惯用语之一.  be difficult in doing sth 如果是对的, has made it difficult in tracing some Black inventions to their originators 的to do ...表目的状语也没有错呀?   除了这一点, 我还觉得有Black inventions 和 their black originators的区别.不同情况. black放在inventions前会不会有歧义呢?餐比较起来,还是觉得放在originators前比较好!
