关于which跳跃修饰的新疑惑……求NN解答

首先感谢一下sjmdlyc前辈对which修饰做出的详尽整理，关于which跳跃修饰的内容如下：

在前有“核心词+介词、分词等修饰结构”或者插入语的情况下，which跳跃修饰前面的核心词，不能修饰紧邻的名词。
下面是几个例子

这句话的which不能修饰其紧邻的名词Susan Huntington Dickinson，必须跳过介词结构to…，修饰核心词letter。

这句话的which不能修饰其紧邻的名词utility industry，必须跳过介词结构in…，修饰核心词merger。

但是今天我重新复习到GWD-1-Q2时遇到了疑惑

本题目中B为错误选项，PREP解释为：
 which可以跳跃指代，但是此处which离其指代对象隔了一个状语in the country，而且country与 ranges是gramatically matched的，故B不佳。
于是很想吐槽一下，根据上面所给出的例2
Unlike most other mergers in the utility industry, which have been
    which同所指代对象merger也隔了一个状语in the utility industry，但是却跳跃指代成功了。
唯一的区别就是industry和have不是gramatically matched.

那么PREP中对B的解释里，关于状语in the country的错误是否其实是不成立的？而如果存在由于gramatically matched导致的语法歧义的话，能不能从逻辑含义上进行排除呢？因为在做代词指代的相关题目时，经常根据逻辑含义判断代词所指代的内容，那再这里which的指代内容能否通过逻辑合理性来排除语法合理性呢？

即GWD-1-Q2的B选项中，因为which可以通过逻辑含义判断出是指代book market，能否排除因为语法match形成的歧义呢？
求赐教…关于which的跳跃指代已经发了两贴……上一次还以为完全弄明白了，现在看来觉得自己真是个演员啊……

解答LZ的问题；我在mahnnan的SC树上看到的说法是noun都是close touch的，也就是就近指代。没有说法是跳跃指代的，除了很个别的情况，具体看下书吧

谢谢~的确跳跃指代的情况不常见，但有时候也会出现，比如上面我说的两个例子……对于可以出现跳跃修饰的情况，我是从CD大家的讨论里摘出来的，因此做题的时候也不能看到跳跃修饰就认为错吧？

的确看到这句了，但是不是说有极少情况例外么，这种前面有修饰核心词的介词结构就是例外之一那……
in the country跟country's比起来好像是wordy了一点……
