看了前两页的讨论直接跳到这里。

谈谈我的看法：主句用过去时态表达1992年的动作且并为强调是否完成，所以对于1992年之前的动作也是过去的动作，过去时态即可。

既然如此主谓完全相同情况下 的比较结果从句主谓均可省略只留状语。(they did) 可省略--〉B

OG上那道ARMY的题是最好的证明 in any previous election 只能用过去完成时

唯一的疑问是这里是要补it (the proportion)还是they (costs), 个人比较偏向于television costs had accounted。。。

个人觉得C肯定正确

B的忽略只有在than后面用that的时候才可以，就像同学们提到的OG中的题目；

但是本题中不能用that简单代替，而是要用*** account for ***这样的结构，所以不能省略；

过去完成时非常正确，因为前句是过去式。

肯定是B，刚翻了白勇书，上面写比较从句得主语和谓语与主句主谓一致得话，可以全部省略，常常保留做状语得介词短语或状语从句。如果要补得话，用it，前后比较要对称一致

my point:

there should be "they had" after "than" not "had been"

答案B正确

我的理解是a greater proportion 是half的同谓语，而it是指costs所占spending的比例，也就是说比例和比例在比较，原句补齐应为half is a greater proportion than it was in any previous election,但是实际是it在原文中无法找到对应的proportion ，所以it was 一定要省略。

从逻辑意思看than后面肯定省的是proportion，比例比以前都高，而并非只是costs高了。。。

by the way按实际情况讲通货膨胀的话costs肯定是要高的

当than后面只是由主语和动词构成，没有其他成分的时候，后面的动词可以省略

比如：He has more time than I(have).

例句中有宾语的- TIME, 所以HAVE 不能省略, 要不然会有歧异. 会觉得他有时间比有我多.

我原本选C,现在觉得B好一些,因为好象 PROPOTION 不能和THEY 平行对称.
