ascend作‘上升’解释时是不及物动词，没有被动；而且A中的被动语态的施动者不明确。that从句修饰三个动物。

这道题目好像不太好，指代上缺乏逻辑性。

我觉的A选项的从句主语是The first balloon passengers, 在从句主语主语没有错的情况下不能随便改变主语. 所以选B

另外，从that从句中in a basket beneath a hot-air balloon in Septmber 1783.判断，that从句应该修饰a sheep, a duck,and a rooster。
