这里我注意到A和B的区别。在A中expected后面接了it，但是B中它把it省略了。我想问问什么时候是可以省略it，而什么时候又是不行的呢？

句子中第二个that被GMAC省略掉啦，做had expected的宾语，这个宾语指代前面的话。
第三个that是与The company announced that平行。

换成them指代profits吗？那么had expected the profits to ? 也不合适吧。。。 对吗？

他们之间只多了一个代词it. 我想问问，为什么it要省去呢？

我在想expect到底是什么用法。手头没有好的语法书，所以只是凭我自己的感觉说的啊。。不对见谅。
expect我觉得要么不接宾语，要么expect sth. to do...
所以改成them后，我觉得也得变成had expected them to be，其实和had expected是一样的。。还不如后者简洁。。

我猜是这样。。猜是这样。。没有语法书支持TT
