看到OG12里的SC部分的两道题想到的：

第一个是30题，
30.     For members of the seventeenth-century Ashanti
nation in Africa, animal-hide shields with wooden
frames were essential items of military equipment,
a method to protect warriors against enemy arrows
and spears.
(A)      a method to protect
(B)      as a method protecting
(C)     protecting
(D)     as a protection of
(E)      to protect

OG给出的答案里说A选项错在句中的a method to protect指代的是items。


另外一个题是第48题：
48.    In 1713, Alexander Pope began his translation of the
Iliad, a work that, taking him seven yearsuntil
completion, and that literary critic Samuel Johnson-
Pope's contemporary, pronounced the greatest
translation in any language.
(A)     his translation of the Iliad, a work that, taking

OG说B选项中的a work that就是指代translation，D选项中的a work that就是指代 the Iliad


那么我可不可以这么理解，遇到上述两题X of Y，Z的情况，Z指代的就是X呢？

个人观点，仅供参考：
30题：主句是主谓宾，n v n的结构，a method指代宾语n不合适，多半指代doing sth的形式，比如wearing animal-hide shields。至于你说的X of Y问题，根据句意看哪个中心词吧，SC句意是王道。
48题：如果割裂前面的句子看his translation of the Iliad是比较难判断，但是加上谓语began一起看，began his translation of the Iliad，哪个是中心词一目了然。其实根据后面的句意也能判断work指代translation。
所以，SC句意是王道啊
