Also, in E, the past perfect had been priced signifies that the wines had been priced to sell before the prices were cut.

比较从句只是要求比较对象对等，并不要求时态一致。

另外我觉得在比较句中，没有其他错误时，用do要比重复实意动词更加简洁

而在bunnierGG的这个例子里比较的并不是动作，而是Americans

似乎与我们上面讨论的不能对等，
