1、想问一下D选项的问题：
OG解释说：not almost until is a nonsensical sequence of modifiers
为什么almost一定要放在until后面你呢？难道not until中间不能加词了么？
2、还有E选项，应该是一个强调句。还原原句的话，就成了 not until almost 1900 scholars and critics seriously began studying...
但是not until置于句首，不是应该倒装的么？

1.almost 是修饰1900的 不是修饰until的 所以要放在1900前
2.强调句 还原成scholars and critics seriously did not began studying until almost 1900 .哪里用得着倒装么

第二个我之所以会问，是因为我记得强调句的还原是把it was 和that去掉就可以了。所以要是直接在原句去掉的话，not until不就置于句首了么？可能我的这个想法很幼稚，呵呵~~~

额 强调句只是把强调部分提前，还原的时候被强调的该回哪里回哪里
不是简简单单去掉it was……that 就可以了（有的时候可以）
这个是not until的一个衍生句型，看着就很熟吧，多读几遍就有感觉了哈 GMAT语法也是讲究语感的哈
