mining 应该是开采吧，不是减少的意思

Dear, 我觉得这题的关键不是Parallelism, 而是Modification.
如果说Scientists succeeded in both "mining heat..." and "producing energy...", what should  "enough for...." modify?
是Mining heat enough for...还是producing energy enough for呢？

这是一个问题，如果从句子的concise and effective expression 表达的角度考虑，是不是“开发太阳能来生产更充足的能量”比“开发太阳能并开发更多能量”更加的简洁有效呢？是不是也很好的表达出来这样一种目的的含义呢？用and表示并列的结构读上去就没有太多意义，放在中文的表达中听上去也像是一堆废话...
个人见解，希望各位多多指教。
