帮同学问一下，中部某省财政厅工作的，申请美国的MBA好？还是MPA好？

我大学同学由于没有账号，让我问问大家。她现在在中部某省财政厅工作，副主任科员，由于觉得在政府机关太压抑，加上之前就一直想出国读书。想请我问问大家，她这种情况是选择读MBA好呢？还是读MPA好呢？她是国内211大学金融学硕士。在省厅工作5年。英语较好，获得了三级翻译专业资格证书。她说她目标单位是世界银行、IMF之类的世界财经组织。

如果不喜欢确实可以出去念，但不是MBA，可以选择MPA、社会工作硕士、国际金融硕士
北美MBA现在主要培养的是投行、咨询的中层打工者

没有这个意思，只是体制内的优越性不用我多言，但是读了这个以后，未来性有体制内更好吗，才是要深思的。

Hey there—if I were your friend, I would of course apply for an MBA degree.  The MPA programs can be very hard to get jobs out of, unless you go to the BEST programs…in the world.  On the other hand, with an MBA (from a top-15 program for example) your friend will have many options.  And we like options, perhaps most of all.  I would recommend that your friend apply to MBA programs where perhaps she can take classes in MPA fields as well—places such as HBS and Booth, for example, allow you to cross register at MPA-type programs.  That way, she could “have her cake and eat it too.”  But MBAs tend to be the most respected degrees, even for folks looking to get into the IMF, world bank, etc.  I have a couple friends from HBS who did precisely this…
