hmmmmmm...as someone who's been working for an international ngo for over four years,gotta say this ain't a conventional path,i mean via mba to ngo. mba at most could be a plus to your solid academic background\concentration\skills\relevant WE. it is hardly a necessity according to my observation to people's background in this field. and the pay in these organization can hardly compare to private sectors,to be honest,or it would be a violation to the public service principle. in another word,forgetting about money is a necessity if you choose an ngo career path. anyways,if you are really interested,here are some advice for you: - check out the recruitment section on UN and WB's websites. all requirements are there,black and white. - check out schools that target to provide education to future NGOers such as SIPA of columbia university. - start preparing yourself by developing relevant experience. you'll have a lot of seasoned competitors in the job market just like in any other industry. you'll probably need more than an mba to stand out. -- by 会员 WendyT (2011/4/21 17:36:38)
