Bachelor degree in Economics (low GPA) from Georgia Institute of Technology(GIT) in the US, 2 years work experience as a Business Analyst in the US, and 1 year with IBM in Shang Hai, GMAT 640, interviewed for HKUST Shen Zhen PT program on April 14th, got waiting-listed on the 18th (ps:收到waiting-list的email后崩溃了). What are my odds of getting the offer? Thx -- by 会员 frankiehan2010 (2011/4/18 17:13:13)
I believe you were expecting CDers' thrilling like "wow, how come, you have such a strong background......."
However, I feel like telling you the cold hard truth. Your low GMAT basically matches your low GPA, which convinced the adcom that you could not catch up the competitive study. I dont know how well you did in your job, but your interview most likely did not help too much to flip over their earlier judgement. Eventually, they put your name on the waiting list, because your working experience still look quite good.
If I were you, I will try to get higher GMAT score before they make the final rejection, just to prove I am not a bad student, especially for someone who has studied in such good college in US for under. |
