同意37楼说的，the rising sea level可以理解为the rising sea的level(强调level)，也可以理解为the rising sea level(强调sea),而a rise in sea level没有歧义。

ABD  and前后不对称 C polar ice cap 和 sea levels不能包含在consequence中 所以选E

个人认为这题主要考平行，melting 是动作性名词，rise是rising的动作性名词 ，

其他选项是melting和level，不平行
