我的问题是，prepare的主语是谁？如果是指programs的话，可以说programs prepare them（athletes）to...吗？ 这句子不通吧？

谢谢LS的答复，不过我google了enhance preparation，有比如enhance preparation for examinations等的说法
除此外，那正确答案的programs可以做prepare的主语吗？

我也觉得C选项符合平行，但是看见另外一个见解说C选项只带有问题
“我觉得C选项这里不是平行的问题，是their指代的问题，逻辑上应该指代athletes，但C中athletes‘s是所有格，代词不能指代所有格上的词，所以their无所指~”
