big4 @HK underpay. I heard their starting base is somewhere around HKD 10k-13k/month. Now you need to factor in the cost of living in HK to really understand how low a renumeration that is. In places like Kowloon where the rent is cheaper than HK Island you need close to 10K/m to live in a 10-munite-walk radius from subways, so can you possibly see yourself working 80-hour weeks while taking a 1-hour commute everyday and living in someplace that costs more than half of your salary (provided your not local)? I know I can't. Just my $.02.

I fully agree with your. That is one of the reasons why I am struggling with this decision. Even though big 4 is a big name, the renumeration is really unattractive. However, as a non-local fresh graduate, the avg mthly pay is around 13k-15k.... as the rent will be 5k at least.....
Difficult to survive in HK....
