(B) 正确，as… as…连接不同的household对比，where引导定语从句修饰households与前面保持对

称。

(C) whose grandparents和前面的where…不对称，household作家庭讲用where指代，而不是whose。。

这里为什么就不对了？？？

发表下拙见，我觉得两个as compared to用法不一样。
第一个as compared to相当于when compared to，与其说是比较专用，我更喜欢把它理解成状语从句。
第二个as compared to要分开看，因为前面有个as many...as的结构。第二题的总结构基本上是：
Bureau shows that ( there are more than three times as manyhouseholds where...)as (there arehousholds where...)
如果这里后面改成了 as compared to,那么compared to显然和前面不平行了。

我覺得as compared to的用法是錯的。

如果是對的話，as只能理解為during（另外兩個表示because, in the same time as不合邏輯）

但是during是一個過程，compared to只是一個瞬間的動作，這兩個東西放一起不合邏輯。
再說，把句子補全以後就是as something be compared to..在something被比較成XX的過程？過程？？~~不對。

一般常用的idiom應該是compared with/to//in comparison to/with~

p.s. as contrasted with必錯。
